The future's planned

A love assigned

He's fabricated in your mind

The man of gold

He isn't real

Created from a blind ideal

A distant dream

One thought away

And yet your heart's in disarray

Cry baby, cry baby

Don't live a lie, baby

There's nothing to achieve

When it's all make-believe

One day you're up

And then, you're down

Your prince has yet to claim his crown

"Why can't he be?

He owns my heart

My life feels like it's come apart."

The same laments

The same old scene

You love to play the drama queen

Cry baby, sigh baby

Kiss him goodbye, baby

Put him up on a shelf

Learn to first love yourself

You cannot shine

And be a star

Till you discover who you are

A little time

A secret key

A love mature and meant to be

The future waits

A warm embrace

When youth evolves to hope and grace

Cry baby, fly baby

Look to the sky, baby

There's so much to explore

Open hearts learn to soar

All your heartbreaks will heal

And you'll know love is real

Miracles

There are no such things as miracles

I heard somebody say

I looked at him with saddened heart

And kept upon my way

As I walked along my journey

I thought of what he said

And counted all the special things

That entered in my head

It took no time to realize

How much that we are blessed

And came to the conclusion that

This needs to be addressed-

Everything is a miracle:

The countless sand

The endless sky

Things beyond the naked eye

The howling wind

A shining star

Rainbows reaching from afar

A blade of grass

The stately tree

All a gift to you and me

Everyone is a miracle:

The way we change

Who we become

Why we breathe and where we're from

The ways we learn

How we relate

Wondrous things that we create

Emotions felt

Our thoughts applied

Each soul unique side by side

Every day is a miracle:

The time we wake

To while we sleep

What we sow and what we reap

The lessons learned

The take and give

Passing moments that we live

The evening dusk

And early dawn

Understand? Need I go on?

Don't cry to me of greed and hate

That tear this world apart

Changes wished will come when you let

Miracles fill your heart

Waiting:

   The sand in the hourglass

   Watching it grow

Crying:

   The rain of a cold dark night

   Letting it flow

Time waits for no one

But how could I know

The heartache I'd feel

When I let my love go

Hoping:

   The roses in dormancy

   Budding anew

Reaching:

   The bough of the evergreen

   Pining for you

Time passes quickly

When there's much to do

It's painfully still

As I wait here for you

Needing:

   The thirst of a desert plant 

   Wilting and sere

Dreaming:

   The thoughts of a treasured night

   Loving you, dear 

Time is eternal

And time makes things clear

It soon will be time

When I'm holding you near

Time is forever

In time we'll be one

Together united

Our new life begun

Jealousy

When jealousy rears its ugly head

It possesses your mind

And fills you with dread

No words are effective

No acts reassure

Nobody can help you

You're so insecure

It's eating you inside

It's making you weak

It's giving you thoughts

Of which you can't speak

You're losing yourself and

You feel like a fool

You can't say a thing

Any word would be cruel

Hold back your emotion

Pretend that you're numb

You just cannot face

What it's made you become

Saturated

Overdosed

And oh, so bored

Too much of a good thing, now ignored

Promotions

And tie-ins

Leave me sedate

Feeling indifferent, I can't relate

Turn it on

Turn it off

Perceived hollow

A hidden meaning, hard to follow

Excitement

Devotion

Let others feel

While I wait for the true reveal

Here, There, Nowhere
