The Fly

A fly flew by
It had to die
On where it went
I kept my eye

It flew up high
It flew nearby
My deft attempts
It did defy

It flew the hall
Then had the gall
To fly inside
The shower stall

While on the wall
It seemed to call
I did not like
That fly at all!

The fly, you see,
It flew with glee
As if it tried
To torment me

I heard no plea
To be set free
Its death would come
With certainty

A fly flew by
It had to die
On where it went
I kept my eye.
